FULL BLOOM

Listen, I am NOT a morning person...at least not a wakeup-and-mascara kinda gal.
So whenever I spot a lovely lady that can look beautiful, even bare-faced, I am inspired.
Sigh, I'd punch a kitten to have bangs like that when I rolled outta bed.

COOL DOWN

Well kids, summer's slowly melting away.
And I, for one, welcome Autumn with open arms!
Bring me my knits, my layers, my neutrals!
 Consider this 'so-long summer' a pre-autumnal tease.

CB I HATE PERFUME (but boy, do I LOVE you)

One of my favorite perfumers, CB I HATE PERFUME, just happens to have a 'gallery' in Williamsburg. So, needless-to-say, I frequent quite often. But for those of you who can't stop in... here's a video of the creator (or should I say 'artist') giving the backstory to some of the most popular perfumes. It's like collecting memories through scent. So lovely.

JUST A FEW FROM OUR BEACH ADVENTURES

Just got back from a lovely beach trip with my family and Mr.Charlie. I already miss the sand, but it's nice to be back in Brooklyn. Looking forward to a weekend at home.

LEAF LOVE

Plants have always been an interest of mine, but recently they have crept in and crowded my apartment (and my heart).
Here's a little inspiration of the two directions ive been going in. The large leafy greens mixed with some succulents full of personality.

Here's the weekend inspiration.

SAVE OUR PARKS

The First 70 Trailer from Heath Hen Films on Vimeo.

Now that summertime is kicked into full gear, Charlie and I have quickly found our second home in the various parks in the NYC area. With all the commotion happening out in CA it frightens me to think that we too could lose our shady spots. What a scary thought. Enjoy this beautifully shot film and give it a think.

MR.MUDD & MR.GOLD

Stockholm shop, MR.MUDD & MR.GOLD, had a tight budget when they asked BUNKER HILL to help them get their store off the ground. Fortunetely for them all the furniture and fixtures in the store can be easily built with basic wood cutting tools. pretty rad. You know what else is rad? THIS TOTE.

SHUT UP...IT'S NOT DORKY.

I don't care what my boyfriend says (or any of my male friends for that matter), I'm wearing some cute socks with my wooden sandals. I have too many cute socks to NOT show them off. I'm not sure if you're aware of this fellas, but some of my socks are preeeetty pricey and if they're tucked away in my shoes nobody's gonna witness my sweet sense of foot-style. So... deal with it.

MONDAYS SUCK. LETS GO SHOPPING!

Oh hi! Remember me? I've missed you too!
Sorry about my hiatus...let's never do it again.
Anyways, stumbled upon this lovely retail store, MILKMADE
Wanted to share all its goodness with you.
The Cali store carries a nice selection of mens and womens goods, with a few magazines and other 'lifestyle' items mixed in.
And I'll tell ya what.. there's quite a few mens pieces that I may just snag for myself!

I LOVE SATURDAYS. BIG TIME CRUSH.

An adventure-filled Saturday makes a lazy Sunday totally acceptable.
Spent Saturday running around the city with a good friend of mine, taking advantage of sushi lunch specials and an extra early happy hour at the B-Bar.
In between eating and drinking we dodged gusts of wind to collect some special 'cultural' treats.
CHINATOWN" Wire ladle thingies will be perfect to display my airplants...
those wooden ciggy looking things are a few beads from a enormously cheesy beaded curtain
that I'm repurposing for necklace creations... and of course some chewy treats.
LA SIRENA: A TINY mexican boutique STUFFED with all sorts of shiny, colorful, bright pieces.
I got a few hammered tin charms, a mermaid, and duh...an freaky-deaky mask.
Why not?
